Advice Needed

I realize there are many other things to blog about, like our trip to Maui, but I need some help. I am looking to get into the world of digital scrapbooking, but need help! What programs are you using? Do you like what you have? I am contemplating buying Photoshop-is there something better out there for scrapbooking? Please, any advice on this matter would be most appreciated!

Hey Melanie! I have recently discovered Shutterfly.com It's a digital photo website, I haven't looked at it to it's entirety, but I've enjoyed it...you might too=) Also, I know Ruth has some great ideas...she has a program you could buy from creative memories=) Good luck!

I've been Photoshop Elements and have been really pleased. There's definitely a learning curve, however. But after you master it, you can move on to Photoshop. You might try Blurb.com too, to kind of get your feet wet. But I like using something like Elements to edit your photos, even if you don't put pages together there. E-mail if you want and I can tell you more. Good luck!

Photoshop is great! Also Ashlee and I bought this program together called fotofusion that works great. I use that for most of my stuff.

I think it depends on how much freedom you want and how much time you want to put into digital scrapbooking. There are lots of digiscrap programs with great templates. If you want to put some time into it and want some more freedom to create and edit, I would definitely go with photoshop. You will most likely have to put lots of time into it though.

I don't really like digital scrapbooking, but I have a friend here who has the Apple system. She makes her own book and really likes it. She had no problem switching over. But you have to get the whole system, and I don't know what that includes. I've received and looked at the Creating Keepsakes disc, one of them anyway, and I wasn't too impressed with it actually. So good luck!

I have used shutterfly for calendars, and it was awesome. I haven't looked at it for scrapbooking, but if it is as easy as it was to make those calendars, I've contemplated using it just to catch up. I just prefer the personal touch. FYI, it might be worth checking out.
