A Vog Sunset

These are the moments when you know why you live in Hawaii! On Friday we went with Kevin's family to a place called Magic Island to eat dinner, watch the sunset and then watch the fireworks show they do every Friday. This was our sunset! The winds have been coming from the Big Island this week (which is not normal) and have blown in the vog (volcanic fog) from the eruptions they are having there. Mostly it reminds me of Utah with an inversion, but it sure does make for breathtaking sunsets. The fireworks after this were great, as always. So, if you are ever in Hawaii, make sure you are here for a Friday and we will take you for the sunset and the fireworks!

I can't believe you live there, and that when Baby Hallstrom is old enough, you can walk along the beach with him. What a perfect place and perfect concept. Hope he comes soon!
