The Scottish Festival

Yesterday we went to a Scottish Festival in Waikiki. While it was interesting, the food selection definately lacked. There was only one place that served Scottish food and it was $8 for the small amount of food you see (Haggas, Scottish Banger and Shephard's Pie). The entertainment was interesting though. There were tons of bagpipe groups, a dancing competition, anvil throwing (and the like of that), and then there were the guys in the armour fighting. Of course there were booths selling kilts for all those that forgot to bring their own. Interestingly, most of the people participating in this event were not from Hawaii. It seemed like a lot of them fly all over the place to different festivals competing--it would be an interesting life!

I love that random things like this exist. I love too that we get to be spectators. Not so sure that the food looks good though - maybe the baby was craving it?! I like the long hair btw--
