At this check they did the autism screening. I received a "book" to fill out about all of his habits and developments. When the doctor came in to tell me how Ben did, he said that Ben's scores were all in the normal range except for in one area. On the question about how he plays with dolls (feeds them, cuddles them, etc) I had to answer no. Next to it I wrote "He doesn't play with dolls." Apparently simply being a boy puts you at risk for autism. The doctor had a good laugh out of Ben's lack of interest in baby dolls!

He's looking so grown up! alb
You have got to be kidding me! I had never been questioned about my boys playing dolls! Well once, when Don came home and Brandon was playing dress up and barbie with the girls. He asked if he should be concerned about his son.
that is really interesting, I wonder if that is a standard now at 2 year old check ups because I've never seen that. cute pic by the way, he has the best eyes!
How funny! I am getting that boy a Barbie.
what a cutie! We miss that monkey :)
He just so adorable. That is all.
Hello! So this is random but, my name is Melanie and I am getting married to a Kevin this May! We started a blog and since your url was taken, we had to go with my name first :) But i was looking through your blog (sorry if that is creepy) and the post with your brother on his mission in Kobe Japan, I know his companion!! Elder Cutler (Brock) was in my freshman ward! I thought that was an odd coincidence. Thats all. Your son is cute. Thanks for letting me blog-stalk you a little bit. :)
I'm glad they are testing them now. At one point we had 3 kids (all the same age too) in our ward with autism. The most severe case has moved away but we still have a boy and a girl. Bennett is sure cute! Thanks for keeping a blog!
oh my goodness he is so grown up and handsome!
